Best casual shoes for male teenager?

I am looking to buy some shoes. I've looked at some skate shoes and what not, I don't like the look of Vans at-all, they look ugly to me.. Um, globe, DC's are looking good but are very pricey as well. So im wondering what type of shoes to go with like, jeans, shorts, and just to go to school with?

2. Converse Chuck Taylors. Overdone, but it's simple to pair with. Pumas.
3. plain white nike's or white and black adidas. something that matches with everything :D

5. get high tops or the ones that look like that but r loww cos the hig ones r hard to get on
