What are some good casual shoes for winter?

I've been wearing slimmer legged jeans lately so my big runners look weird. (Are runners ok in slim jeans?) I'm just going to school so I need something comfy. Also, it's Canada, so any exposed skin will freeze at the bus stop.

3. boots over the top of the slim jeans ankle boots vans or converse tennies you can wear with a sock
4. Runners do look a little odd with skinny jeans but only if they're those really athletic pro ones but if they're not too big and sort of stylish (for example converses) it's fine. You should wear boots like uggs and tuck your jeans in them.
