Can you recommend good casual shoes for a 16 year old?

I don't really like to shop at Abercrombie, Hollister... or any places like that- Nothing against them, just some people are too dependant on that. Here is a bit about me: -I'm african american ( Don't know if that will help?) -I'm more of a laid back girl. I'm not a preppy girl. I do not like flats. -I love polo shirts like ralph lauren. I also like pumas, adidas, pastrys, etc. I like those cute bremuda shorts. -Love acessories. -My favorite idol as far as fashion is Lil' Mama ( the girl who sings lipgloss) I tried to get adidas, but where I live they don't sell that many for girls. I guess I am a girly/laid back/ hip hop person?? Anyways, I just need a nice casual shoe to wear. Any recommendations?

2. I know you said you don't like flats, but try finding a pair with something that stands out? I recently got the best pair off ebay, they are black patent leather with a gold buckle/chain-like bit near the toe, they are hella hot. Don't wear adidas or pumas etc, they are ugly and not classy at all. Maybe get some nice heels, which don't look too formal or trashy. Ebay is a great place to shop for shoes, or just to look around to get some ideas. Good luck on your shoe quest. ;)
3. Well I know this is an overused answer. But definitely converse. I love them. Their really comfortable. Plus you can pick all different styles. And they match with basically anything.
4. I would probably recommend converses (like the person above me suggested) b/c they match with almost anything. Plus, unlike adidas, the black converses work with both girls and boys. By the way, props to ypu on not going to Abercrombie and Hollister shops!!! :) Those stores are too preppy and overpriced...what's worse is that almost everybody in my school goes there...and those in my school who wear that, i absolutely detest.
5. i think converse although lots of people have them.they so cool and come in so many styles nd designs you're bound to find one that suits your taste.Good value for money and can go with ne outfit and can be worn in so many ways.Definitely the most versatile shoes i know.Hope this helped :-)
