Shoes

What type of casual shoes can I actually wear...?

I was wondering what type of shoes will be best to wear for me that are NOT thin or high heels with semi casual clothing. I want to be able to wear some nice shoes with jeans or slacks when I go out but I injured my ankle several times and now I pretty much have no support on it. I can wear low kinda thick heals. Every time I try to wear heels my ankle keeps rolling and I have no resistance on it so it rolls very easy. So I wanted to know what type of shoes other than sneakers will someone with a nice sense of fashion will recommend. Obviously I am not very fashion savy. Thanks everyone!

  1. well etnies are comfortable. rocket dogs are cute, if youre looking for that. Summer water shoes would include crocs, flip flops, etc. hope this helped!
  2. Sketchers makes some really fashionable shoes that are able to accommodate my orthodtic inserts. Another kind of shoe which can help even when you have orthopedic problems, (but they're very expensive) is Birkenstock.Good luck. I have a hunch that more shoe companies will get the hint that there are those of us who have foot problems and still want to be fashionable. I refuse to wear "old lady" shoes when I'm not an old lady...just a gal with orthopedic problems.
  3. Wedges are in. What I would suggest is a lower wedgie in an up to date style. They are very popular this spring and will be for summer too. Try them on in DSW Shoe Wearhouse, or Macy's, J. C. Penney, Zappos.com, Ilovemyshoes.com, MJM Shoes.
  4. ballet flats would work well for you- steve madden makes a lot of really cute styles. Or maybe a shorter wedge heel- they have some cute ones at target.
  5. Tennis shoes-converse or the slip-on vans. Or ballet flats!
